Biography

Dr. Ti Bai, Ph.D., is a medical physics resident affiliated with the Department of Radiation Oncology's Division of Medical Physics & Engineering. He specializes in radiation oncology, low-dose X-ray CT imaging, medical image analysis, and deep learning algorithms.

Dr. Bai earned his Ph.D. in 2017 from Xi'an Jiaotong University, where he focused on low-dose CT reconstruction. Following graduation, he spent two years working at the Institute of Deep Learning (IDL) at Baidu Research in Beijing.

In 2019, Dr. Bai joined the Medical Artificial Intelligence and Automation (MAIA) Laboratory at UT Southwestern as a postdoctoral researcher and was later appointed as an instructor in 2021. His work at the MAIA lab involves designing, developing, and translating innovative artificial intelligence technologies to enhance healthcare performance and efficiency.

Since July 2023, Dr. Bai has embarked on his medical physics residency training, furthering his commitment to the field of medical physics and artificial intelligence.
